Money Magnets runs two business referral groups in Palm Coast, Florida — Palm Coast Tuesday and Palm Coast Thursday. This policy covers both the public member directories at moneymagnets.ericolsen.studio and the members-only Money Magnets app for iPhone and Android.

The short version. We collect the business contact details you give the group, the referrals you log, and nothing else. There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold or shared with marketers. Ask us and we will correct or delete your information.

1. Who we are

The directory and app are built and operated for the Money Magnets group by ERICOLSEN.STUDIO LLC, 45 Parkway Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32164, which is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. Questions go to info@ericolsen.studio.

Money Magnets is an independent referral group. It is not affiliated with BNI or any other franchised networking organisation.

2. What we collect

Your member listing

When a group admin sets up your account, we record your name, business name, category, a short description, phone number, website, email address, and the search keywords that help other members find you. You can edit all of it yourself from the app.

Your account

Your email address is your login. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash — nobody, including us, can read your password. We also store a flag noting whether you still need to replace the temporary password from your invite, and whether your membership is active.

Referrals you log

Each referral records who gave it, who received it, the name of the person or business being referred, an optional note, and the date.

Technical records

Our server keeps ordinary web logs — IP address, timestamp, and which page or endpoint was requested — for security and troubleshooting. The app stores a sign-in token on your own device so you don't have to log in every time; signing out erases it.

What we deliberately do not collect

No location data. No access to your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. No advertising identifiers. No behavioural profiling. The app asks for no device permissions at all.

3. Why we hold it

InformationReason
Listing detailsSo other members and visitors can find you and pass you business — the entire point of the group.
Email and passwordTo sign you in and send you your invite or a password reset.
Referral recordsTo credit referrals, show the activity feed, and rank the leaderboard.
Server logsTo keep the service running and spot abuse.

Our lawful basis, where that concept applies to you, is the legitimate interest of running a members' referral group you asked to join.

4. Who can see it

We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. We would disclose information only if the law required it.

5. Referring a client by name

When you log a referral you type in someone else's name. Please keep it to what the receiving member needs in order to follow up, and don't record anything sensitive about a third party. That name is visible to every member of the group in the activity feed. If someone asks us to remove their name from a referral record, we will.

6. Services we rely on

7. What we don't do

No third-party analytics. No advertising SDKs. No cookies on this website beyond what your browser does on its own — the directory sets none. No cross-site tracking, no marketing emails, no selling of data. The only emails we send you are your invite, a password reset, and the occasional message about the group itself.

8. How long we keep it

Your listing and referral history stay for as long as you're in the group. When you leave, an admin usually deactivates your account, which takes you out of the directory but keeps the group's referral history intact. You can also delete the account outright yourself — see Delete your account — which removes your listing and every referral attached to it. Server logs roll off after a few weeks, and nightly backups age out after 60 days.

9. Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, never stored in readable form. Accounts are members-only — an admin sets yours up or you use your chapter's join code — so there is no public sign-up to attack, and every temporary password has to be replaced the first time you sign in. The server is firewalled, patched automatically, and backed up nightly. No system is perfect, but this one is deliberately small: less data collected means less to lose.

10. Your choices

Florida and US residents, and anyone covered by the GDPR or similar law, may also have rights to object to processing or request a portable copy. Just ask — we handle these by email rather than a form.

11. Children

The group is for business owners. The app and directory are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a child's information reaches us, tell us and we'll remove it.

12. Changes

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top of the page, and for anything significant we'll email members.
